Privacy Policy

Utility Rates is an informational website. We publish estimated utility costs by city and county using publicly available rate data. For most of the site, we do not ask you to submit personal information, and we do not run accounts or newsletters.

If you use a third-party tool we embed (for example, the internet provider comparison on our Tools page), that partner may collect and use data under its own policies, as described below.

Our internet providers page includes an embedded comparison experience operated by a partner (Allconnect / MyFinance). The widget shows its own advertiser disclosure; that text describes how offers may be compensated and ordered.

Relationship to Utility Rates: We may receive compensation when you engage with that tool (for example, when you click through or sign up for service), depending on our agreement with the partner. That is a standard affiliate or performance arrangement and does not change our editorial utility-rate content elsewhere on the site.

Data collection: Information you enter into the embedded tool, and cookies or similar technologies used inside it, are handled by the partner under their privacy practices—not by Utility Rates. For details, see the partner’s policies, for example Red Ventures’ privacy policy (Allconnect is a Red Ventures brand) and their cookie policy.

• We do not require accounts or sign‑ups to browse city and state utility data.
• We do not sell personal data we collect directly from you—we do not operate login forms or contact forms that store your data on our servers for marketing.
• We do not use first-party advertising or profiling cookies on our own pages beyond what is needed to serve the site.

The site may be hosted by a third‑party provider (e.g. Vercel). Normal web traffic (IP address, browser, pages visited) may be logged by the host for security and operations. We do not use that data for advertising or profiling. See the host’s privacy policy for its practices.

If we ever change our practices (e.g. add optional email updates), we will update this page and note the effective date at the top.
